‘Tunes Of I' are an award winning, up and coming 6 piece band hailing from the dub capital of the pacific, Wellington, Aotearoa (New Zealand).

Forming in 2011 they have since recorded a four track E.P with Warren Maxwell of Fat Freddy's Drop,Trinity Roots and Little Bushman and have more recently recorded new E.P at the famed Blue Barn Studios, Wellington.

The Tunes Of I sound is fuelled by a high energy rhythm section, lush harmonic textures, psychedelic soundscapes and tight horn lines which are led with soulful vocals and harmonies. This collective mash and experimentation of dub, funk, soul, psychedelia and roots has placed Tunes Of I first in Wellington regional Battle of the Bands, 2nd overall in National Battle of Bands finals, made them recipients of the 'Emerging Artist' award at the Waiata Maori Music Awards 2012 and allowed them to play alongside some of New Zealand's top artists including Tiki Tane, 1814 and Ria Hall to name a few.

Tunes Of I have been a regular act on the live circuit for the last couple of years and have recently completed a successful tour of Aotearoa performing at some of its premier venues. These exhilarating, captivating performances have helped to establish them as an up and coming musical powerhouse, a sound to take to the world and beyond.

We've encouraged everyone to choose artists that sound completely different to their usual style, and make the songs their own.
