Collapsing Cities have revealed that their long-awaited second album ‘Strangers Again’ will be released on 13 July.
Their debut album ‘Elixir Always’ featured in numerous 2008 ‘year’s best albums’ lists and the group’s acidic lyrics and infectious grooves made them firm favourites on the local scene. Collapsing Cities topped the Bnet charts with a string of singles including ‘Elixir Always’, ‘So I Said Last Weekend’ and ‘Seriously’.
Collapsing Cities were picked out as one of “10 Hopes for the Future” by NME amongst a slew of great press and festival performances in Britain. But you can’t eat good reviews and eventually the group returned home to spend the next couple of years working on tracks for ‘Strangers Again’. The first track ‘Tazers’ appeared some time back and the track ‘Mega 5th’ confirms that new music from Collapsing Cities is very much worth the wait.
